so far I'm a bit 50/50 on the beta, half satisfied and half complainant; they also haven't released new unique models yet for Undead and Night Elf

how's your experience with the beta and editor so far?

The editor is buggy as hell, and there are essential features which are not working, like the pathing editor. But its a beta so what can you expect really.

I know some map makers are editing live in the beta but I worry whether their map will actually open when the public version gets released on the 31st. I'm editing in the classic editor then intend to import over to reforged when its fully released, along with regular checks to ensure the map is still compatible, this is the safest option I think.

One of the positives is that terraining on the beta is a lot easier, you don't need to rely on custom imports to make the terrain "look good", and because the doodads are so detailed you dont need as much so building nice looking terrain is quicker.

I also like that every unit now has actual models, not resized reskin whatever, including all campaign units (hopefully, but as I said, there's none yet for Undead and Night Elf.

I'm kinda worried about custom models though. Let's say if each bone/joint is traced from Classic to Reforged, then I'm afraid of Paladin custom models that used Column and/or Bookshelf doodad models to look like.
