SUMMARY: Play as one of 3 Night Elf Sentinel heroes and defend you the Moonglade from the Burning Legion invasion. Players can choose between heroes: Tyrande, Shandris and Naisha as they battle against 6 undead AI players plus many triggered spawn encounters.

The map is based around classic melee style gameplay, I have tried to keep imports to a minimum to ensure compatibility with Reforged but there are some custom units and abilities to spice up the gameplay.

There are also many events and quests which can be triggered throughout the map, these are based off the campaign and contain dialogues so please ensure your volume is turned on.

This is by no means a big project, but should be a fun and challenging "comp stomp" game for people wanting some lore related/melee style gameplay.


AVAILABLE QUESTS:

MAIN QUEST: Protect the Barrow Dens!
- Protect the sleeping druids until the Horn of Cenarius can be found, bring this horn to the Barrow Dens and sound it to awaken the Druids.
- Gains new bonus hero: Furion Stormrage.

MAIN QUEST: Destroy all undead players
- This is the standard melee victory condition.

OPTIONAL QUEST: Rescue the lost Furbolgs (Tyrande only)
- Grants bonus Furbolg unit

OPTIONAL QUEST: Rescue Nighthaven
- Grants new backup base and units in south-east of the map.


OPTIONAL QUEST: Destroy the Corrupted Ancients
- There are 2 Corrupted ancients hidden within the Moonglade, these regularly spawn Satyrs, kill both the trees to stop these foul creatures from spawning and corrupting the forest.


OPTIONAL QUEST: Destroy the Demon Gate
- The Demon gate will spawn powerful demonic armies, destroy it to stop these attacks.
- The demons and Satyrs will become more and more powerful as the game goes on.
- Attacking the gate will spawn Tichondrius boss and a huge wave of demons.

NOTE: There are also some smaller bonus events around the map, all quests grant additional gold and lumber. Map is unprotected, people may modify it if they wish.

I have one question: Are you supposed to be able to send gold to your allies?
I played the map with Harald and Julian yesterday, and I (Tyrande) could send gold to Harald (Shandris) but not to Julian (Naisha). Neither could Harald.

Other than that, the map is pretty interesting although I feel like there is almost no respite to build up an army in, and the waves just keep coming forever. Furthermore, after you have awakened Furion it just turns into a normal melee map, which somewhat makes the map boring after that point. Perhaps change the goal of the game from wiping out every single undead, satyr and demon, to something more interesting like a boss battle, something you have to summon or items you have to collect. Other than that, I like the roleplay aspects of the map such as the various interactions, and I truly think if you focus on making it more unique than a melee map, then the map as whole will shine.

Thanks for playing! Half the problem is that some teams kind find it too easy and other teams get completely swamped by undead, so its difficult finding that balance.

Your right about it being s standard melee once the Druids are awakened, I think that perhaps the objective should be to destroy the demon gate to achieve victory, rather than having to kill every single unit. This map was designed to be an altered melee with campaign elements and the more custom stuff I add to it the less it will feel like a melee map, some people have said they like how its reminiscent of standard melee gameplay and others want more custom units/spells etc.

But I definitely think the game could do with afew more side quests and more objective once the first Druid quest is completed.

While teal was coming with satyrs and one was lvl9boy
Oof I'm out, seemscool otherwise

Shouldnt the win condition be connected to Archimonde and the tree and all that? I luv the idea, just seems a bit tedious having to completely destroy all the undead players.

If I'm not mistaken this map takes place before Mount Hyjal.

Hey sorry for the slow reply, I may come back to editing this map at some point, but it is really just meant to be a mni project.

Oof I quickly tried the map, and I think it's impossible in solo unless you fix ai

Well the map is not meant to be able to play solo, you need human players. For some reason the fact that their are pre-placed heroes with custom abilities means the AI cannot control them, all Shandris and Naisha do is build a barracks and sit there...

I would like to add more quests and one of those could possible include a defence of the world tree but there are so many other maps that focus on that epic end battle that I wanted to do something different. But yes the win condition needs work, you should win the game when you kill the demon gateway. There's alot of work that could be done on the map if I ever start work again.

Eh, don't worry I played the map a second time with friends and it appeared to be quite easy in the end
Going solo was just a challenge I wanted to succeed, and I did not
The main issue I found about the map was that once you get Malf, you're already too strong to have any use of Malf himself nor druid units
Shandris needs to get Nerfed, Q on Tyrande is useless, and I dunno about Naisha, didn't play with her
