Because doing it through HiveWE takes less than 20 seconds.
I took me 3 mins to do it with Wooden method, and worked forever. I still prefer it. Its like "buying a live lasting awesome product" or "buy a cheaper chinese copy version of it, that will last just few days before you have to buy it again". xD

I might be dumb as a rock, but I can't seem to get this to work.

Blizzard messed how this work with their gamegreaking 1.30+ patch series.

If im not wrong, now u have to put the stuff in the w3 folder directly, no terrainart folder any longer. Or maybe is not w3mpq folder. One of them must be removed now.

Test both options and if u cant solve It i can check mine tomorrow.

Did this work for you? That path did not work for me.
Hey, took me a few times to this right. Do the steps as described, then import the Misc Data to your map. Delete the war3imported\ part so that its only MiscData.txt. Reset and you're good to go!

With Warcraft III: Reforged, unless I am mistaken - this excellent tutorial by Woodenplank becomes obsolete given that the game is no longer archived in MPQ files. I have yet to figure out Reforged's archive system... anyone got any leads on how to modify pathability in the new editor?

Has been working for me, though i havent been on lately.
Just follow the instructions and place the TerrainArt folder in the Warcraft 3. The part that threw me off was the qutation marks around the "Terrain.slk". They must be included, I thought he was using them to show what must be typed, but no.

You can use the texture of the Rock to cover it to prevent walking,If you don't use the Abyss texture in your map,
