Hello me and my best Friend have start whit making a map. its place will be ancient Draenor. it will be like LTA but in Draenor and on a huge scale most of the orc clans will have there own player same for the ogre clans and arakkoa will be split to 2 players the outcast and the normal arakkoa. some of the sabertooth's will be in it as well. the first region I started whit is Gorgrond and has done some work whit much more left to do what it and whit maybe some ideas from you it will even look better.

I don't want to sound discouraging but I have to say it, one of the reasons that made LTA popular is its beauty, Marshmalo is a really talented artist and that helped LTA a lot, the terrain here could use a lot of work, the color palette is bland, and the zones are really blocky, but it's really nice to see a map like LTA set in Draenor before the formation of the horde.

well ye I know it's much more work let whit the terrain and I know I sad that I am far from done but dis is just the basics. and there will be more to fix what the terrain and I will try to make it look a lot better in the future. and thanks for saying what you think. the zone I will start whit the basics after dis will be Frostfire Ridge or Talador not sure which I should pick yet.

p.s Manetho sorry I am talking about my best friend in real life.

Anden i agree with yousef that the terrain looks too "squarred", but if i compare how my map looks rn with the first work when i was skeching areas... Are 2 competly different worlds, like got series and books xD. So i could just say i will keep watching ur advance ;)

I cant suggest much about lore, since i didnt play wod, but i could give some tips about terrain. For example, use smoothier terrain, the entrance to the first base looks like a "great degree ramp", make the terrain scale slowlier. Also try to avoid squared areas and rect lines, they look artificial, round and chaos fits more. Also the blackrock canyon looks too thin in some parts, for moving or battling there i mean. And finally, try to dont use trees as terrain, like in ur evergrown areas, cause trees can be choped and then the terrain looks ugly as fuck.

it's planed we will try to put in new models in the game and even me and my friend will try to make some custom models.
You can create non destructible trees as custom doodads.
that's are one of my ideas for the Everbloom wild to make it look nicer but to make sure no one will think it's normal wood it will be behind some kind of visible barrier.

thanks for the advice and no need to help whit lore huge fan of the orc race and traditions and culture. plus will take the terrain, races, and locations of some of the bases from wod only.
my plan for the desert area of Gorgrond is that there will be 3 paths from the broken spine to Blackrock foundry.

First Path where it's a huge open plain what will take you to the gates of Blackrock.

second path the Gronn Canyon who for the time I made it made me think that it gave the chance of more strategy for the reason you can easily split your army and fight everywhere in the canyon and you have to split them right and micro even more so it's not a way I would pick for the reason it would most likely kill me in a battle and if you have passed the canyon you would get to the gate of Blackrock but you would be able to maybe use your catapults and bombard the bases from a better place where you can easily defend them from enemy units while you assault the gates. plus the Canyon is to defend the Gronn Factions main that is planned to be in the Canyon if all is good Gorgron will have 4-5 factions in it fighting not sure if I will give the Saberon

thirds path an open but still a bit closed back way to The Pit Blackrock have low defenses there the pits best defense is that it has its small tit path.

I know what it's 28 and we can only have a max number of 24 but that how the original plan was most likely will take away Draenei and Twilight hammer and some other faction will most likely be taken away when all the basic terrain is gone but there will be polls up later about does things and what you people think

Terrain is not important as far as it goes with gameplay. I recommend to make paths wider or to make collision size of units 0.

For example I would never go up the hill Blackrock Foundry. That would be just hell as paths is only for 2 units at the same time with normal collision size.

I like you dont use classic W3 cliffs.
