So with the release date approaching 2 months from now i was wondering who's going to boot it up; and by that i mean who's going to try at least 1 month sub and who's going to be a dedicated player.
I've started playing WoW since WotLK and have seen vanilla only through Nostalrius and quite enjoyed it (i think it's much more like my initial experience with the game than its current state right now).
Obviously, the game is much more fun with friends, so i'm trying to figure out who's gonna join me and maybe we could all settle on a specific server.

I'm a lazy fuck, so I prob won't even try it on my own. I like the game as it is now. If I hear good things about it here I might try it though.

I have said for a long time that I'm gonna be a fully dedicated player of WoW Classic when it comes out. Now I am not 100% I will be

I am interested, do you know of an active guild that is gonna take part in classic?

No clue but figuring a guild will be the least of our concern at the start.
literally takes months until you're level 60 in classic wow.

Are there people who would enjoy doing all the leveling in classic solo? I don't think I would be far off by saying people would enjoy offing themselves prior to that. It is much more fun, and quicker with other people. Also classic leveling is reknown for being abbysmally slow, grindy, unfair, and most importantly extremely slow. Most of these things would easily be alleviated in a group scenario.

How many people are there?
Depends how many people will join xD. I was joking, it is a troll guild.
Because moving to another city and finding work so depends how I manage the time.

I love classic exactly for that point. For the grind and shitfest and anger and frustration and enjoying everything prior lvl 60. I'm not gonna rush.

For example I will take my time to roleplay and grind Blaclsmith / Mining and quests and hunting undead players and farming Scarlet Armor Set from Scarlet Monastery and all the stuff in between.

Fair point. I guess G-d really blessed all the roleplayers out there by allowing them to enjoy what normal people would view as a death sentence. I wish I could do that honestly.

I'm 101% joining classic as long as we play on horde side

It ain't tho ... if you play with 2 people all the exp from the killing mobs is going to get split so much that you are going to run out of quests really fast and have to grind to get to the next zone. I for one am probably never going to group up during leveling since it would actually slow you down a lot more than solo killing the mobs.

I think it is worth grouping up because unless you are some elite pro noscoper wow guy then by playing solo you will get ganked in the wild by hostile players and die very frequently to getting mobbed by simple mobs, of course back then you couldn't just run into 50 mobs as a warrior and just thunder bleed them to death in two seconds while being equal level like in modern wow. Fighting 2 mobs at the same time without major buffs was almost a guaranteed death sentence.

What am I trying to say? Well just by dying once you waste so much time running back and forth that it would be worth it 10 times over to have just had another player take some of the exp but not having had to run back and forth let alone actually killing mobs in that time. Opportunity cost. Also with 2 players one could heal you and that would mean synergy and synergy can be extremely efficient.

In the end it is personal preference however from a strictly formulated and mathematical perspective I think it would be really hard to argue for 1 player vs 2 players grinding and that is not even talking about boredom relief. Of course I don't want to shatter anyone's rose tinted glasses, however when you go back not only is the nostalgia going to fade away in mare seconds because you are not a kid anymore and you don't have the same dopamine receptors but you have already explored all those placs in vannila AND modern wow so the curiousity and bliss of exploration of finding new things is completely gone.

Who actually goes back to wow to grind by yourself for months like a loner? People want to go back for the social aspect that vanilla was so known for and of course you wont get that by secluding yourself like a loner. Finally the main focus of vanilla is for all those noobs in vanilla that were to busy grinding to do raids to come back and finally get a chance to raid. So this should conclude why grouping up would be more efficient and sought after than running around and getting insta gibed like a noob loner?

As for me one of the most urgent questions in classic is gold. I had a great leak of gold in olden days. I hope that overgear will have deals for classic as well.
